North Point Technology, LLC is an industrial automation and control systems engineering firm providing engineering design, consulting, commissioning, maintenance and service to manufacturers, institutions, and municipalities throughout the world from our base office in the Greater Binghamton, NY area. We welcome experienced Industrial Automation Engineers to apply to join our team. Also called Systems Integrators, we look for Industrial Automation & Control Systems Engineers who can program a variety of industrial controls, including PLC, HMI and SCADA systems. - Position requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of experience programming industrial control systems.
- Proven experience required in PLC, HMI and SCADA programming and systems.
- Certification in or ability to program using Ignition or similar SCADA software is a plus.
- Experience with a variety of industrial controls and applications is preferred.
- Experience in designing, testing and installing electrical control panels in industrial or manufacturing settings is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical projects is required.
- Project management training and experience with a PM certification is desired.
- Ability to work and communicate well with people at a variety of levels and in a variety of settings is required. This includes interacting with technical and non-technical personnel internally and externally as well as with clients, vendors, business partners and the public at large.
- Experience and interest in performing technical sales and marketing activities is preferred. This includes experience in making formal and informal presentations to new and prospective clients, assisting with creating marketing materials, providing input to the company’s website and social media, making sales calls, and participating in trade shows and technical conferences.
- Position requires ability to travel by any means to client work site locations throughout the U.S. and internationally. Travel may be for up to two or more weeks at a time. Travel is typically 10-25% annually.

- May require the ability to obtain U.S. government and related security clearances.
- Must have current valid U.S. Passport.
