Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform mortgage servicing portfolio modeling and analysis
- Communicate directly with clients during the valuation process
- Work in a high pressure, team-oriented environment
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and seamlessly switch priorities as needed
- Manage various research projects, including tracking and analyzing industry benchmarks
- Perform ad hoc projects to meet client specific requirements
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Understanding of mortgage banking industry, mortgage servicing rights, and discounted cash flow analysis highly preferred
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities and overall financial aptitude
- Advanced Excel skills and discounted cash flow modeling experience
- SQL and data management experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal business communication, including the ability to interact with clients directly and concisely summarize details
- Comfortable with the challenges and opportunities that come with working for a smaller entrepreneurial organization
- Sound business judgment
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate and/or advanced degrees in Finance, Financial Modeling, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- Mortgage banking experience, valuation software, etc. a plus but not required
- 2-5+ years’ experience preferred
