Responsibilities
- Provide full-scale operation of the management of the Compliance Department
- Maintains a current knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and related anti-money laundering regulations for various regions and countries including US, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and United Kingdom
- Conducts investigations on clients’ transactions identified through the monitoring system
- File various reports required by governments relating to compliance (ex. SARs)
- Assist in the maintenance of other compliance-related programs including Vendor Due Diligence, Risk Assessment, BSA Training, etc.
- Keeps other departments abreast of requirements by researching regulatory and filing information, writing and communicating guidelines
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Maintains rapport with regulatory personnel by arranging continuing contacts, resolving concerns
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualification/skills
- Experience applying advanced analytics approaches in an academic or professional context
- Strong communication skills and a desire to work both independently and as part of a team.
