Our Award-Winning Client is seeking an Area Business Manager (ABM) to join their dynamic team. Our client, a nationally recognized leader in their field with numerous awards, is looking for a motivated individual to help drive their vaccine portfolio goals.
Job Description:
The Area Business Manager will engage in strategic, business-to-business interactions with various customer segments including Pediatrics, Family/General Practice, IDN/IHNs, Health Systems, and Federally Qualified Health Centers. This role requires presenting clinically focused selling messages to drive revenue and achieve the goals of our Award-Winning Client's vaccine portfolio.
As an "account orchestrator," the ABM will enhance the customer experience and improve patient outcomes by leveraging cross-functional support from internal teams. This role demands initiative, drive, and independence, with the ABM taking full ownership of their business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow portfolio share and revenue, consistently achieving product goals.
- Act as a therapeutic area expert, effectively positioning and differentiating products.
- Collaborate with field-based stakeholders (e.g., Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access teammates, Strategic Account Managers, Hospital Business Managers) to proactively address customer needs.
- Identify market trends, develop strategies supporting brand objectives, and ensure success within assigned geography.
- Utilize account and territory data, working with internal specialists to leverage insights for HCPs.
- Adapt strategies using AI and digital tools to optimize HCP engagement.
- Develop strategic business plans to identify key opportunities and grow territory business.
- Understand and differentiate contracting options, presenting competitive financial offerings.
- Operate within a buy/bill model, managing complex pricing, shipping, contract compliance, and amendments.
- Adapt to remote selling techniques and changing sales methodologies.
- Plan and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize allocated budget to support strategy execution and business growth.
- Participate in initiatives supporting sales success (e.g., industry congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
Qualifications:
- Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or business-to-business sales
- Broad understanding of the healthcare environment, decision-making processes, and market trends
- Proven track record of accessing decision makers
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate hybrid environments and optimize HCP selling models
- Agile learner, comfortable in complex environments
- Experience with omnichannel approaches and customer engagement using insights
- Ability to analyze data and generate solutions for customers
- Passion for science, proactive in knowledge strengthening related to disease states and healthcare trends
- Execution skills for tactical initiatives, providing feedback, and prioritizing multiple products
- Field sales experience with success in influencing decision makers
- Self-directed, organized, with excellent planning and execution skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver's license, insurance eligibility, and safe vehicle operation
- Preferred:
- Graduate degree
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience
- 2+ years of account management experience
- Enhanced digital acumen
- Strong clinical acumen
- Experience in Market Access, Pricing, Contracting, or Finance
- Proficiency with MS Office and customer management databases

Pay: $100,500.00 - $135,000.00 per year
