We invite you to join a growing Family Primary Care Practice team at Be Well Family Care, as a PSR - Patient Service Representative - Patient Check In in Tempe, primarily focused on patient check in functions. Our PSR's play an integral role by providing outstanding customer and administrative assistance to and for our patients. We all work together as a team to ensure Be Well Family Care is providing exceptional care. We are a full service practice who see all ages from children to seniors, specializing in LGBTQ+ care and Integrative health. We offer a warm and inclusive healthcare environment for everyone. This role reports to the Director of Practice Operations and is accountable to support the overall success of the office.
What would you do? - The Role
We are seeking an administrative professional who is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive experience for our patients. The right candidate will excel at multi-tasking, is resourceful, and is motivated to solve problems when presented with them. This is a growing practice and office where each teammate assists in helping each other to ensure the practice delivers exceptional care to our patients.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm (actual shift is only 8 hours)
- Greeting patients professionally and respectfully, both in person and on the phone
- Answering and/or appropriately routing patient questions
- Support a team of Nurse Practitioners and take initiative to anticipate the future needs of the providers and patients
- Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively
- Answer phone calls and emails
- Creating and maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient accounts in the EMR
- Check patient eligibility, research patient benefits, provide patient estimates and collect payments
- Maintain inventory of office supplies/forms
- Scan patient correspondence and external records daily
- Prepare patient accounts for the future appointments
- Performs other non-clinical duties to support practice needs
Are you the right fit? - Qualifications and Experience Needed:
Required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting primarily responsible for insurance verification, benefits eligibility and other point of service patient activities
- EMR experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel and Word)
- Fluent in English
Preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Athena EMR experience
- Medical billing and coding experience
- Value Based Care scheduling and documentation knowledge

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
