Pediatric Dentistry Associates is looking for a full-time dental assistant to join our staff. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing patients to see our dentists. This may involve preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing dental instruments, and performing some basic dental hygiene tasks. You may also be asked to take X-rays of patients’ teeth as well.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a certification in dental assisting from an accredited program. Candidate must be comfortable working with children as well as treating patients with special needs. The perfect candidate will work with doctors to deliver high-quality care and positive patient experiences. This role involves working at both of our locations on selected days. Dental Assistant Responsibilities
- Prepare patients to be seen by our dentists
- Help us maintain a sterile work environment by sanitizing dental instruments
- Set up instrument trays, treatment materials, and assist in basic dental procedures
- Take X-rays of patients’ teeth
- Collect, record, and maintain the dental health records of our patients
- Order dental supplies as needed to maintain the office’s inventory
- Provide patients with information on dental hygiene and oral health
Dental Assistant Requirements:
- Certification from an accredited dental assistant program
- Dental X-ray certification
- A positive, upbeat attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer literacy
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to provide patients with exceptional care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
