School of Science and Technology (SST) is an " A-rated district" (top rating based on TEA's A-F accountability system), award-winning, tuition-free, public charter school district that offers a specialized curriculum focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ( STEM ) in order to prepare future generations for our ever-evolving world. SST Spring campus is located at 2105 Louetta Road Spring, Texas 77388. SST-Spring will serve PreK-7 for the 2024-2025 school year.
SST drives academic and socio-emotional development through a rigorous college preparatory, STEM-based learning model. SST's model is anchored on 21st-century skills, embraced by a character-building approach, and delivered in an enriching, safe, and student-centered learning environment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
o Two years teaching experience
o Master’s degree from accredited college or university is preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Counsel and Discipline students.
o Supervise teacher classroom management.
o Train staff on student code of conduct and implementation of discipline.
o Maintain records of disciplinary actions taken to ensure that the student code of conduct is administered properly.
o Communicate with parents and key stakeholders regarding student discipline and safety.
o Monitor students’ attendance.
o Maintain a safe and orderly school environment.
o Coordinate before and after school programs and clubs.
o Monitor the school ground actively for safety checks.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
o Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
o Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
o Ability to analyze data
o Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills
o Knowledge of child and adolescent behavior issues and psychology
o Management and supervisory skill and/or training and experience
o Ability to identify problems and proactively find solutions
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
o Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
o Position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
o Moderate travel is required.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
