Customer Order Coordinator
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Order Coordinator. This role will be primarily focused on processing customer orders, coordinating order fulfillment, and obtaining shipping quotes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
Customer Order Processing:
· Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
· Verify order details, including product specifications, quantities, pricing, and shipping information.
· Communicate with customers to confirm order details and address any inquiries or concerns.
· Ensure timely and accurate entry of orders into the system.
Order Fulfillment Coordination:
· Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate order fulfillment.
· Monitor order status and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
· Address any issues or delays in order fulfillment promptly and proactively.
· Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and expedite urgent orders as needed.
Shipping Quote Management:
· Obtain shipping quotes from various carriers and freight forwarders.
· Compare quotes to determine the most cost-effective and efficient shipping options.
· Provide shipping cost estimates to customers and assist in selecting appropriate shipping methods.
· Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries as necessary.
Customer Service Support:
· Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding order inquiries, status updates, and shipping-related questions.
· Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally.
· Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with order fulfillment and delivery processes.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in order processing, customer service, or related administrative roles.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and order management systems.
· Knowledge of shipping procedures, carriers, and logistics terminology is preferred.
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in business administration or related field is a plus.
