Compassionate Leader Needed: Direct Support Professional (DSP) AND Shift Supervisors needed for Homeless Shelter
Are you ready to lead with empathy and make a lasting impact? This homeless shelter is seeking a dedicated DSP/Shift Supervisor to work with the team in providing crucial support to those experiencing homelessness.
As our DSP/Shift Supervisor, you'll:

Oversee daily shelter operations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment

Lead and mentor a team of staff and volunteers with compassion and skill

Implement and maintain shelter policies and procedures

Provide direct support to shelter residents, addressing immediate needs

Collaborate with case managers to support residents' long-term goals

Handle crisis situations with calm professionalism

Experience in social services, particularly in homeless shelters (preferred)

- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Strong attention to detail required and comfortability with Microsoft Excel

Experience working as a Home Health Aid/HHA, Direct Support Professional/DSP, Personal Care Attendant /PCA is a plus

Haitian Creole or Spanish (is preferred but not a must)

CPR & First Aid Certificate

High school diploma required. Associate's degree preferred
