AGENCY BACKGROUND:
InterFaith Shelter Network (IFSN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and services to those experiencing homelessness in Sonoma County. Our mission is to provide housing and a hand-up for anyone experiencing homelessness in Sonoma County in an atmosphere of dignity, respect, and kindness.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Case Manager to join our team. The Housing Case Manager will play a vital role in assisting individuals from the re-entry population in securing stable and sustainable housing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals re-entering society after incarceration and possess the skills necessary to provide guidance, support, and advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized housing plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on securing safe and affordable housing options.
- Assist clients in navigating housing resources, including Section 8 Vouchers, affordable housing listings, and supportive housing services.
- Provide ongoing case management support to clients, including assistance with housing applications, lease negotiations, and landlord communications.
- Coordinate with community partners and landlords to advocate for clients and facilitate housing placements.
- Offer support services to address barriers to housing stability, such as employment and financial literacy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Develop partnerships with property managers and landlords throughout Sonoma County
- Develop an understanding of resources available in Sonoma County for homeless families and individuals
- Direct service also includes assisting clients with skill building, financial education, and employment preparation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in case management, social services, or a related field, with a focus on serving individuals from the re-entry population.
- Knowledge of housing resources, rental assistance programs, and housing laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving and client-centered care.
- Familiarity with housing first, trauma-informed care principles and culturally competent practice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite.
- Automobile, valid driver's license, ability to provide transportation and ability to meet IFSN’s driving policy.
Wage Range: $26-28 per hour, DOE

Schedule:
· Monday to Friday
· Full time position: 40 hours per week
· Alternative work schedules: 9/80, 4/10s, 5/8s, 4/9s with 1 half day
