Shipping / Receiving / Stock Clerk
Grade - 4
The Assembly IV located in Wolcott, IN reports to our Plant Manager and is responsible for performing receiving, stores and shipping duties for Mercoid raw materials, parts, sub-assemblies, completed units and supplies following established procedures as assigned by the Leader or Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Check incoming items against purchase or production orders; complete receiver; use print file for identification, if required. Use counting scales or hand count as appropriate. Note discrepancies or obvious damage and alert Leader or Supervisor.

Select delivery cart, tray or container, and following established routine, pick orders for production or shipment to other locations such as processing vendors or Michigan City operation.

Pick or complete finished goods orders for shipment to customers or Dwyer warehouse locations; apply protective fill, dunnage or tape; loan and unload trucks; complete and file papers and provide information to authorized persons.

Check inventories periodically filling out prescribed paperwork to adjust bin quantities to actual counts and notifying production control or Sales

Department and Leader or Supervisor, as appropriate.

Mark parts, cartons or containers with specified Mercoid and/or customer information numbers and counts, weights, etc.

Make up new bin reserve quantities, wrapping or boxing and identifying per procedure.

Use powered forklift trucks, hand trucks, carts, following routine practice for movement and delivery of items to all departments.

Maintain and transmit on request specific records using computer and modem and prepare simple reports as instructed.

Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse areas and follow safe operating practices in use of fork lift trucks and delivery carts.

Requirements:
Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:

Require three to six months to attain sufficient knowledge of receiving, stores and shipping systems and item and finished good categories for reasonable proficiency; Leader or Supervisor is available for unusual transactions or assistance.
