RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be available for 5 shifts, including Friday and Sunday evenings

Follow all recipes and portion standards to prepare, garnish, and present customer orders
-
Prepare and plate hot and cold food while ensuring proper quality standards
-
Follow proper safety protocol to avoid injury to self or others
-
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen and station daily. This includes maintenance and stocking of all required food, condiments and applicable containers
- Handle, store, and rotate all products to ensure product quality (FIFO)

Set-up, regularly maintain, clean and break-down any pertinent machinery and equipment
-
Complete prepped food lists and other checklists as required
-
Return all items used during your shift to the proper place and organize all work and storage areas

Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned
- Meet with manager upon arrival to discuss shift set-up and check out with manager before leaving to ensure duties are completed

Other duties as assigned

1+ years of experience cooking in a high-volume restaurant

Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays

Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, managers and customers
- Ability to work as a team with coworkers to complete job responsibilities to meet service and quality guidelines

Ability to memorize and recite recipes, ingredients and other menu items

Ability to convert measurements per recipe guidelines
-
Demonstrate proper knife handling skills and other kitchen equipment safety

Ability to perform basic sanitation practices

Possess a valid Food Handler’s Card or obtain one during training upon hire as required by law

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and kneel for duration of shift

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
