JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to fulfil the role of student engagement team member working directly with our #MIP: Me, In Progress teen wellness program. #MIP is an innovative wellness program that serves high school and middle school aged students. The purpose of the #MIP program is to enhance the well-being of teenagers through exploration and connection. By offering a variety of programs and events, students will be encouraged to explore various wellness modalities to help them discover their strengths and passions while developing genuine connections with their peers. The ultimate goal of #MIP is to equip students will the skills and confidence needed to build resilience so they can thrive in the face of adversity.
The Student Engagement Team Member will serve as one of the point of contacts for students within the program. Reporting directly to the Director of Mental Health Services, this role will encompass several key responsibilities aimed at improving student engagement, assisting with day to day operations at #MIP, and facilitating the overall success of #MIP.
As the Student Engagement Team Member, you'll be instrumental in shaping a program aimed at nurturing growth, resilience, and meaningful connections among our #MIP students. You will be empowering these students to navigate their journey towards becoming successful adults.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Student Engagement and Support:
o Provide direct supervision of students while at #MIP and during #MIP excursions, being present for guidance, support, and inquiries.
o Perform after-school pick-up services as assigned ensuring the safe and timely arrival of students.
o Proactively inquire about students' wants and needs to ensure their active engagement within the program.
· Operational Management:
o Assist with day-to-day operations and ensure adherence to program protocols and schedules.
o Collaborate with fellow #MIP staff to maintain a smooth workflow and address any logistical issues promptly.
· Communication:
o Contribute to mass communications with students, disseminating important information and fostering an open line of communication.
o Act as a conduit between students and fellow #MIP staff, conveying feedback and concerns effectively.
· Wellness Programs and Activities:
o Collaborate with fellow #MIP staff members to design and implement various wellness programs and activities tailored to the needs and interests of our students.
o Ensure the smooth execution of these programs, fostering an environment conducive to student well-being.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· A bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
· Experience working with youth or in an educational setting involving program coordination, student leadership, mentorship, or counseling.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders.
· The ability to build rapport, listen actively, and relate to students from diverse backgrounds in order to create a positive and supportive environment at #MIP.
· Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple programs and events.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
