Optalis Health & Rehabilitation is currently looking for an IT Technician for our Corporate Office located in Novi, MI.
Optalis Healthcare, a premier provider of skilled nursing services, is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to offer essential administrative support to our Corporate IT team. The IT Technician will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and oversight of these initiatives, aligning with our corporate objectives to strengthen our IT department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Administration: Manage onboarding of new staff members, configure employee permissions, and undertake all other maintenance projects related to EMR.
- Technical Support: Serve as the primary contact for resolving technical issues for employees, liaising between third-party partners and medical professionals. Monitor and respond to support requests, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Software Management: Develop and maintain systems for assigning and removing employee software access. Track and document IT support requests and resolutions meticulously.
- Communication: Maintain company-wide communication concerning EMR outages or other technical issues impacting multiple users.
- Tier One Support: Provide first-level support for account troubleshooting, including password resets and account configuration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products: Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft products, particularly SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of creating and managing pivot tables, and performing v-lookups and h-lookups.
- Miscellaneous IT Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Corporate Director of Information Systems.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven track record of managing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with PointClickCare preferred
- Strong understanding of Microsoft products.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in internal communications and employee engagement programs, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
