We are currently looking for a Chemical operator/compounders
Good communication and leadership skills are Essential.
Primary Responsibilities: Mix and create chemicals based on orders- polymer reactions, coatings, and cold blends. Responsible for the flow of materials, including inspection of the compounding area. Work with pumps, hoses and reactors, and other equipment to make products. Support training and education within your area. Exhibit initiative and accountability for your area.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent plus 3 years experience in manufacturing. Ability to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, work with minimal direction and handle conflict in a positive manner. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments. Forklift certification obtained.
Physical Requirements: In a standard workday this person will be required to sit 10% and stand, walk 80%, and squat, kneel or twist 10%.Lifting requirement of 50 lbs maximum and 20 lbs frequently. Visual requirements include the ability to read work orders, blueprints, schematics, measuring devices, computer printouts, and spreadsheet applications. Temperature and humidity controls are normal. Exposure to hazardous materials will be infrequent. This person may have to wear personal protective equipment which could include safety glasses and safety shoes, depending on the nature of the work.
