Position: Orthodontic Assistant (OA)
We are a fast-growing dental company with offices located in East Los Angeles, Inglewood, Lynwood, Pico Rivera, and Westchester. Our state-of-the-art dental practice is seeking a talented & enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of related experience
Any required state specific licenses or certifications
A current CPR certification
An active X-Ray license

Schedule: Monday through Friday & Some Saturdays & Sundays| Up to 15-16 days per month
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Perform orthodontic adjustments
· Prepare teeth for bonding and debanding
· Assist in the placement and removal of appliances
· Sterilize instruments and operatories
· Take digital radiographs and full records
· Take alginate impressions
· Fixed retainer fabrication and cementation
· Bracket set-up/placement
· Charting of patient information
· Impressions for study models
· Placement of space maintainers
· Communicate with patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene
· Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with HIPPA
· Select and pre-size orthodontic bands & arch wires prescribed by the orthodontist
· Remove and re-cement properly contoured and fitting loose bands that are not permanently attached to any appliance
· Assist orthodontist with orthodontic treatment
· Encourage, educate, and motivate patients to follow the recommendations of the doctor
· Cleaning area
· Other duties as assigned by the Back-Floor Supervisor and/or the Ortho Manager
Education and Experience
· Current Certified OA
· X-ray license
· Orthodontic assisting experience-minimum 1 year

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
