The Intake and Enrollment Specialist is responsible for providing outreach, intake activities, and assessments for the Clean Energy program. The Specialist will work with participants to provide information and enroll them into clean energy training and employment programs in Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson, and Ogle Counties. The Specialist will also work with partner agencies to provide coaching on intake and assessment processes for the Clean Energy program.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Outreach and Assessment
- Provide outreach and intake functions for potential participants and enter information into required databases.
- Share program information with eligible individuals and community groups at community sites, schools and at community events.
- Administer various tests and assessments and enter results timely and accurately.
- Assign new and eligible participants to appropriate staff based on reporting criteria.
- Perform program recruitment efforts and provide necessary guidance on the eligibility/suitability requirements.
Community Partnerships

Work with partner agencies to coach and mentor intake staff and identify best practices.
- Conduct file reviews to include evaluation of application documents and data to verify program eligibility.
- Participate in meetings, committees, and ongoing training related to working effectively with program participants and partners.
Administrative

Maintain all data in required tracking system in timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure confidentiality of records.
Communication

Display a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to requests, complaints, and problems.
- Maintain a working knowledge of program goals, guidelines, and eligibility criteria, as well as knowledge of other State and Federal agencies and programs.
- Show flexibility in working with people from diverse social, economic, and educational backgrounds.

Compensation Range: $19-22/hour
Qualifications & Basic Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with barriers and understand and communicate with diverse groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- High customer service focus.
- Functional use of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
