Our established yet growing Podiatry practice in Bellevue is seeking a personable and reliable receptionist/medical assistant to join our team. This position would require flexibility, as we need someone who can efficiently juggle front-office receptionist duties along with back-office patient assistance as needed.
Our ideal candidate will have prior medical experience, as well as very strong organizational and interpersonal skills. The role requires attention to detail, initiative and good Microsoft Office and phone skills (experience working with Electronic Medical Records is a plus). Also essential is a friendly, compassionate manner with all patients, including the elderly, children and those with special needs.
The primary front-office receptionist duties typically include:
- Patient intake (checking patients in, verifying insurance, preparing patient documentation, obtaining pre-authorizations)
- Scheduling new and follow-up appointments, answering phone calls & emails
- Ensuring the front desk area and waiting room are organized and clean
The back-office medical assistant duties typically include:
- Escorting patients to exam rooms and ensuring their comfort
- Obtaining vitals
- Taking x-rays as necessary
- Inputting patient medical history into our EMR (Electronic Medical Records system)
- Assisting doctors as necessary with minor medical procedure preparation
- Autoclaving and sterilizing tools
- Cleaning and restocking exam rooms
The position is for approximately 32 hours weekly, with some schedule flexibility possible. We provide:
