What We Are Looking For
The Roseman University College of Medicine in Summerlin, NV seeks to recruit an assistant professor with teaching and research interests in bioethics. The successful candidate will be on a 12-month (non-tenure) educator track, with renewal. We are developing a fully integrated required curriculum weaving content and methodology from humanities, the arts, design, health equity, systems thinking, critical thinking, design thinking, law, and policy. The successful candidate will work with a transdisciplinary group, including a senior philosopher bioethicist and a JD bioethicist, biomedical, social, clinical, and data scientists, as well as clinicians. We especially welcome faculty who bring an equity lens to their scholarship and teaching and who demonstrate a record of successful collaboration. The position has its academic home in the Department of Bioethics, Humanism, and Policy.

Founded in Henderson, Nevada, in 1999 with a College of Pharmacy, RUHS has experienced phenomenal growth and has expanded to include a College of Nursing (2006), a College of Dental Medicine (2007), and a College of Medicine (in development). The Roseman University College of Medicine (RUCOM) is building a team of experienced, innovative faculty who will contribute to the development and delivery of a unique medical education curriculum that will prepare our graduates for the rapidly changing practice of medicine.
RUCOM offers excellent opportunities for those with a passion for academic medicine, with time dedicated to curriculum development and innovation, scholarly activity, and teaching. Foundational Science and Clinical Science teams will work together to build a novel, integrated, and engaging curriculum that emphasizes patient care in the setting of today’s advances.
Our signature curricular program and healthcare delivery model, GENESIS, sets us apart from other medical schools. Using a household-centered care approach, GENESIS addresses the challenge of how to effectively merge health services and social services in a way that will truly improves the health of high-risk patient populations. GENESIS provides patients with tailored ‘high tech and high touch’ medical and social services aimed at helping them conveniently address barriers to optimal patient and household health outcomes.
