Position Summary:
The Industrial Sales Manager – Northeastern Region promotes and sells products and services through effective sales techniques and good customer service. They support the development and implementation of a sales strategy to increase sales, market share, new product and new customer penetration, as well as to meet sales and profitability goals of Hydroflo in the designated region. The Industrial Sales Manager also establishes and maintains relationships with channel partners and key distributors.

- Execution and tracking of company initiatives to drive results
- Development and tracking of market-based share tracking with growth
- Expansion of sales in new markets
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for growing existing sales and achieving business results within the region including new business opportunities.
- Manages the sales of products, services, and resources through channel partners and distributors to achieve sales, share, and revenue goals within the region by visiting and calling on present and potential customers and end-users.
- Promotes product information and assures satisfactory customer service through continuous contact with customers, prospect base and major accounts within assigned geographic area.
- Supports the development of short and long-term sales strategies and a detailed and accurate area forecast plan.
- Delivers business performance reports on a timely basis and implements area business plan for achieving Hydroflo sales and profitability goals.
- Collaborates with Director for channel partner selection, decisions, and recommendations.
- Utilizes customer relationship management (CRM) tool to support market intelligence requests from Director, Corporate Marketing, Channel Management, and Business Units; analyzes market intelligence data and recommends action plans to achieve improved sales and share performance in the channel by means of new product development, competitive activity and response, and product line enhancement activities.
- Writes and processes sales quotes accurately and maintains quote log on a daily basis.
- Provides product demonstrations, answers customer technical questions on-site and through telephonic/computer communication to customer as required. Provides troubleshooting whenever necessary.
- Manages customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction by establishing and maintaining relationships with key channel partners and customers.
- Reports competitive information to Director
- Tracks major market metrics and develops and directs initiatives to improve them.
- Offers input to product development process based on knowledge of "voice of the customer" as gained through technical conversations with customers.
- Attends weekly sales meeting via conferencing and special meetings as requested by Director
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or related field; significant applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of sales or sales management experience (Industrial, Vertical Pump, or Commercial Pump sales experience preferred)
- Technical knowledge of vertical turbine pumps and/or HydroFlo product bases preferred
- Experience working with mechanical engineers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Intermediate level of financial and business acumen, with the ability to translate corporate growth goals into regional sales strategies
- Excellent verbal, written, and public presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 75% required to customer/rep sites, conferences, etc.; candidate must live and work in the assigned region of the United States
- Northeastern: CT, IL, IN, KY, MA, ME, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VT, WI, DE, East-MO, North-WV

- Industrial Sales Experience
- Hydronics Experience
- Sales rep agency management experience
Work Environment
This position works primarily in a home and/or office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
This position is remote and extensive travel is required. Must be able to travel short and long distances as needed in various modes of transportation which may require sitting for long periods of time and/or being in confined spaces.
This position has no direct reports.
