Job Title: Lead Custodial (Day) Supervisor

Position: Day Custodial Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and delegate cleaning assignments and schedules to team members based on directives from the Project Manager and Kleane Kare's Operations Manager.

Supervise and coordinate routine cleaning activities, ensuring optimal hygiene standards, including:
-
Maintaining cleanliness of lounges, waiting rooms, lobbies, and other public areas.
-
Cleaning and sanitizing offices, conference rooms, corridors, and other administrative spaces.
-
Ensuring cleanliness of designated buildings and kiosks within the United States Capitol area.

Oversee the proper cleaning of windows and glass surfaces.

Implement strategies to address high-touch surfaces, minimizing germ transmission.

Execute and supervise floor project tasks such as strip and wax procedures, carpet extraction, and bonnet cleaning.

Ensure compliance with protocols for handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.

Manage the collection and disposal of waste, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, monitor usage, and coordinate replenishment.

Report maintenance issues and equipment malfunctions promptly.

Oversee project operations while fostering robust client relations.

Coordinate with other staff members and departments to foster a collaborative environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Experience:
-
Preferred: Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles within the past three years with managerial experience.

Ideal: Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a custodial capacity with managerial experience.

Knowledge:
-
Proficient in proper cleaning and disinfection techniques, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Adhering to all requirements of employee confidentiality.

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of facilities.

Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting (minimum of 50lbs) and prolonged standing, and bending.

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate effectively in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Flexibility: Willingness to be on-call for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work ethic.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
