Job Overview
As an Accounting Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance department's daily operations. You will work closely with our finance team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in various accounting tasks and processes. The position is responsible for working with the accounting operations of the business including general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, master data, internal controls, compliance, budget management, financial analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounts payable activity, including new vendor onboarding, invoice approval processes, and ensure timely payments.
- Accurately enter financial data into the accounting ERP systems and databases.
- Assist in monitoring accounts receivable, reconciling payments, and maintaining records.
- Assist in reconciling bank and credit card statements, balance sheet accounts, and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both electronic and physical.
- Assist in financial reporting by preparing necessary documentation as requested by management.
- Assist in providing documentation and information for internal and external audits.
- Assist with Month-End and Year-End closings by collaborating with the team to ensure a smooth process.
- Perform various administrative duties to support the finance department's overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 2-3 years of experience preferred
- Experience in a start-up environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Basic understanding of QuickBooks or Sage Intacct preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
Hybrid - 3 days in office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
