Online retailer supplying sustainable products for gardening and agriculture is seeking as a part-time Sales Representative/Product Specialists for immediate hire for morning (8am-1pm) or afternoon (12pm-4:30pm) shifts.
Local candidates only. This is not a remote position, must be available to work on location in Oro Valley, AZ and have reliable transportation.
Job Details: As a sales representative and product specialist you will utilize a wide range of skills to support our customers and procure orders. Tasks include but are not limited to:
INBOUND SALES - Convert calls into sales by providing customers information to identify their pest/growing issues and provide products for a solution by:
- Extending knowledge of products’ abilities, mode of action and if applicable biology/science behind both the customer’s issue (s) and our suggested products for a solution.
- Providing information-instructions, ingredients and other pertinent information to help customers establish amount of product needed (i.e., coverage area/release rate), etc.
- Quoting prices and if applicable associated sales campaigns.
- Sharing important release/usage information.
- Suggesting accessories and complimentary options for product or additional items that increase solution’s effectiveness. Candidate must be willing to pick up phone on first ring and be able to inform customer of pricing, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any pertinent information necessary for customer satisfaction
OUTBOUND SALES – Contact of prospective and past customers by:
- Informing (via phone call or email) current and prospective customers of promotions and new or upgraded products.
- Utilizing established script and corresponding sales campaigns.
- Taking quality notes in in computer database.
- Following up as needed.
- Placing or renewing orders (see more below).
ORDER ENTRY – Must have good computer skills. Secures and places orders by:
- Confirming shipping pricing, confines and schedules for each product (i.e., order processing cut-offs, required shipping methods, etc.).
- Arranging order delivery dates/continuity schedules.
- Entering names, addresses, purchases, and customer notes into computer database system and other details to secure and maintain orders.
CUSTOMER CARE/SATISFACTION – Follow up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to inquiries, solicit further sales; solving or referring problems/issues as appropriate when it is necessary to escalate customer service issues to customer service.

EXCELLENT LISTENING SKILLS – Ability to comprehend customers’ needs by listening carefully and understanding the needs and expectations of customers in order to provide relevant solutions to their particular situation.
COMPASSION - Using a caring and consultative approach to explain the methods and solutions we offer in order to resolve customer queries.
FOLLOW-THROUGH – Maintain contact and continuation of sales by communication with customers via email and phone. Documentation of interactions and disposition of situation.
PROFESSIONALISM & POSITIVITY- Must have a positive attitude/energetic and pleasant/g phone demeanor; committed to treating customers and colleagues professionally and respectfully in all interactions. Willingness to work collaboratively with the sales team, demonstrating leadership, ability to openly communicate; following the lead of sales management.
Skill Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in inside sales or call center experience
- At least 2 years of college or the equivalent – (education in sales or environmental or plant sciences or biology is a plus but not required)
- Proficient level of communication skills including a high level of writing ability
- Have excellent computer skills using Microsoft suite of software, CRM software (we provide specific training on the enterprise software that we use) and ability to utilize the internet for research and shipment/packaging tracking.
- Any experience with gardening, livestock or farming preferred
