Job Summary:
The Dietitian is responsible for the inspection of senior center kitchens, meeting with our food provider, and submitting forms to the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs.
Essential Functions:
· Inspect once a quarter the kitchen of the Elderly Nutrition Program vendor and complete the necessary forms of the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs.
· Meet once a quarter with the ENP food vendor and their dietician to prepare the meals for that quarter.
· Inspect once a year, the kitchen in the 10 meals sites in Jefferson Parish.
· Prepare nutrition flyers every quarter to meet the requirements of nutrition education.
· To present information at sites on an as needed basis.
Qualifications:
· License to practice as a Dietitian in the State of Louisiana
· Be over 18 years of age.
· Possess a valid driver’s license
· Prior experience preferred

We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nutritional advice and support to patients, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop personalized diet plans
- Provide guidance on tube feeding and other specialized feeding methods
- Offer health coaching to promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess the impact of diet on patient health
- Utilize in-depth physiology knowledge to tailor dietary recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics or related field
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
- Proficiency in patient assessment and nutritional counseling
- Experience with tube feeding, alimentation, and health coaching
- Strong diagnostic evaluation skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of physiology related to nutrition
