We are looking for compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our client in Oakland, MD. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to achieve the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient progress.
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
- Planning: Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and physician orders.
- Implementation: Execute care plans, including treatments, procedures, and administering medications.
- Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions, making necessary adjustments.
- Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of patient care in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as regulatory standards.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current nursing knowledge and competencies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- Experience: 1 year of nursing experience preferred, with hospital experience a plus.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
