ROLE OVERVIEW:
The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the administration of daily inbound shipments into the warehouse/distribution center. Must ensure a safe and secure working environment and operate in a profitable manner.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts pre-employment interviews for prospective new warehouse associates

Prepare and issue yearly performance reviews for warehouse associates

Direct and supervises the work and productivity of all warehouse associates, including any Shift Supervisors

Ensures all WH associates are appropriately trained in job duties as well as safety and all Power Equipment
-
Anticipates, analyzes and troubleshoots problems with inventory and devises cost-effective and legal solutions; and acts to implement same

Schedules warehouse employees based on business needs

Conducts routine safety and WH associate meetings

Conducts an atmosphere in which upward communication is encouraged and motivates associates to achieve department goals and objectives

Ensure maintenance of associates Time & Attendance

Investigates all accidents, maintains an accident file, tracks causes and takes appropriate preventative action

Prepares various reports and forms such as accident reports, inventory reporting, shift inspections reports, absence reports, repair orders and requests for replacement equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED

High School Diploma or GED required
-
Must be 18 or older
-
Minimum of 3 year warehouse experience required

Ability to openly and effectively communicate with all associates

Must be able to use, or learn to use, all equipment and tools used to perform the job

Must be a team player and work well with minimum supervision

Knowledge of safe work practices

Ability to work within tight time constraints in a fast paced environment
PREFERRED

Previous management experience

Previous food service, beverage, or distribution experience

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
