We are looking for a qualified Foreman/Carpenter to manage small to medium sized projects from start to completion. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of all aspect of construction. Working with little supervision an managing other feild personnel while following all work and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and teamwork of long lasting works of art.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Lay out floorings, roofing or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible
- Work with and facilitate other subtrades towards a smooth project completion.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as carpenter/foreman
- Excellent understanding of techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must be a team player, able to learn new techniques and be flexible to change directions when needed.
