A General Manager is responsible for creating an environment of excellence, efficiency and cooperation within the team. A successful candidate will be able to promote inclusiveness, offer new ideas and inspire others. The ideal General Manager has training in human resources, a track record of apprising and interpreting company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment for employees and customers.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Hotel.
- Hire, train, and evaluate employees, as well as handle employee relations.
- Plan and implement an effective route for the delivery of Guest rooms to customers and ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Communicate with qualified Business around the area in order to find new and profitable business opportunities.
- Manage all aspects of Hotel Operation, including sales, Brand Standards and customer service.
- Previous experience as a Select Service or Extended Stay General Manager with a Wyndham brand hotels. Certification from Wyndham Hotels.
- Local area market experiences a plus!
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Strong leadership and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills. Strong computer skills a must. Detail-oriented.
- Must have a "can-do" attitude.
- Able to exceed the expectations of our guests and our team members.

- The General Manager will lead staff that includes AGM and Director of Sales.
- The General Manager will work with DOS on driving top line revenue while also working closely with Corp staff in achieving budget goals.
- Successful applicant will work closely with revenue management in driving top line revenue and successful sales strategy in place.
- will work with operations team to ensure that guest satisfaction is always priority for entire staff. Maintain training requirements to maintain brand standards. Work with hotel team to maintain QA standards at all times.
- will work with both hotel maintenance and corporate support to ensure that asset protection is being maintained for long term success by continuous reviewing the property through walk through inspections including major equipment.
- will work closely to meet all food and beverage standards by the brand and ownership.
- will ensure that service as well as labor and other cost standards are maintained and reviewed on and ongoing basis.
- will work closely with corporate accounting to ensure financial reporting is accurate and reviewed daily. All deposits are recorded daily and all credit card processing is reviewed daily and any potential issues are resolved asap. Maintaining AR Daily.
- will work with corporate human resources to ensure all labor policies are practiced and we meet all local, state and federal work requirements.
- Wyndham Brand Hotel Experience Preferred
- Successful applicant will have previous GM / AGM experience.
- must be able to multi task and balance priorities.
- must understand hotel operating system reports, translate the data from the reports to other key staff and corporate office staff. Also must understand other industry reports, STR data, etc.
