Yuma Regional Medical Center is growing and actively interviewing for an Outpatient Faculty supervising Psychologist to join our clinical faculty in providing exceptional patient care and develop the next generation of community psychiatrist in our residency program.

Job Duties:
- Patient care and psychotherapy supervision and lectures for psychiatry residents.
- Opportunities for teaching graduate medical residents and medical students.
- Research and collaboration across specialties is valued with work emphasis in community and rural primary care.
- Participate in managing and cared delivery in IOP.
- Ability to develop psychotherapy component of psychiatry residency program and foster access to Yuma community for evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions, and ongoing professional development.
- Psychology faculty will be responsible for curriculum, instruction, and will be an integral part of the resident psychiatry educational experience.
- The faculty member will provide engaged instruction; develop curricula; conduct program, course, and resident outcomes assessment; and advice and support residents.
- Faculty member will engage in the professional work to advance the YRMC’s mission by participating in institutional advancement, professional development, and community service in the pursuit of excellence.
About Our Programs
- Accredited Family Medicine Residency Program that began in July 2013. Our unique, 3-year program has been granted the highest level of accreditation a residency program can achieve by the ACGME.
- Twenty Four (24) residents are currently in the program; 8 per class per year. Plans to expand to thirty-six (36) FM residents total.
- Sports Medicine Fellowship Program began July 2020 and recently graduated its third fellow in June.
- Embarking on a new Psychiatry Residency with our first four (4) residents planned to start July 1, 2024.
- Affiliation and academic support from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Midwestern University and Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.
- YRMC is fully engaged as a clinical partner in the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

- Collaborative GME team of providers, coordinators and family medicine clinic staff

Qualifications:
- Strong Assessment and Patient care expertise.
- Minimum of 3- years of full-time, professional, work experience in the field.
- Deliver evidenced-based Psychotherapy modalities.
- Ability to function in a collaborative care model.
- Commitment to teaching and supervision of psychiatry residents and graduate medical education resident physicians, with development of curriculum, engagement in resident advising.
Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience in psychology is preferred.
- Clinical experience is preferred; although, we are open to highly-qualified recent graduates.
- Residency program leadership or faculty experience is preferred, but not required.
- Completion of an APA-Accredited Internship
- Must be American Board Certified or eligible.
