Want to affect the lives of millions of Apple customers? Apple Hardware Engineering is looking for a contract engineer to support the ECAD team, develop and present training material and contribute to the methodologies, vendor tools, workflows and custom applications used to create electrical designs and bring them to fabrication. The successful candidate will work with the multi-functional hardware engineering staff on a day-to-day basis to resolve design issues and provide guidance with regards to engineering best practices. They will contribute on a wide range of initiatives and projects to bring to light an improved engineering environment and more educated engineering staff.
· Support hardware engineering staff through schematic design, printed circuit board (PCB), component and simulation workflows
· Identify, triage and debug hardware design, component and simulation issues
· Develop and deliver training on best practices with regards to schematic design , PCB design, component, simulation tools and workflows
Key Qualifications:
· Good knowledge of Linux
· Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Compass and Confluence
· Experience developing and conducting trainings
· Ability to identify, triage and debug technical design issues, arriving at root cause
· Understanding of the HW design process from library creation to schematic, PCB design and signal analysis flow.
· Experience of version control tools such as Perforce or GIT
· Knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with an ability to work with different constituencies operating at various skill levels
· Thrives in a dynamic work environment, both independently and as a part of a team
· Shown ability to work independently while using sound technical and business judgement.

Desirable Qualifications:
· Knowledge of Cadence SysCap ,Design Entry HDL and Allegro
· Knowledge of SQL
· Experience with corporate Learning Management System such as iSpring Learn, Docebo, 360Learning, etc.
· Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PERL, etc.
· Knowledge of Numbers, Pages and Keynote
· Knowledge of Slurm
· Knowledge of Chinese
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· At least 3 years working with ECAD design tools and workflows
· At least 3 years developing and delivering training
· Proficiency with Linux and shell scripting
· Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Perl or TCL
· Experience with knowledge management software, such as Confluence

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
