Job description
Pillar Family Healthcare is looking for a fulltime LVN or MA to care for our patients and facilitate their healthcare needs. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for educating patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Be educated on specific patient’s condition and assess changes in their health conditions and needs to provide the best possible care and well-being.
- Observe patient’s symptoms and acute changes in status and communicate them to providers.
- Collaborate with provider and staff to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
- Administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to providers orders
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies/ CPR/ emergency protocols.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
- Complete referral, medication and procedure authorization through insurance in a timely manner.
- Do patient call backs and all other office and nursing duties as directed by the provider.
Skills
- Must hold current licensing /certification in the state of Texas.
- Proven experience as an LVN/MA
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care, CPR if required.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them policies and procedures.
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- diploma from a nursing program

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
