We Are Seeking:
A highly motivated, detail-oriented, hands-on biologist to contribute to existing programs and to initiate and develop new drug discovery efforts within Quanta. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of cancer biology, signal transduction pathways, and hands-on experience in elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis. He/she will work with a collaborative team and contribute to the Company’s pipeline.
Your Role:
- Maintain multiple cell lines simultaneously
- Work on basic molecular techniques for assay development
- Carry out cellular assays to support compound structure-activity relationship (SAR)
- Develop and validate cell-based assays to assist in MoA studies
- Work in close collaboration with biologists and chemists to progress programs
- Collect, organize, and analyze data transparently and efficiently
- Communicate data to team clearly and concisely
Your Qualifications:
- BS/MS in cancer biology/molecular/cell biology or related biomedical field with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an academic or pharma/biotech setting. Experience in oncology is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in basic tissue culture and cell biology techniques are essential (aseptic techniques, cell line maintenance, viability assays, transfection, stable cell line generation, Western blot analysis etc.)
- Experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as plasmid purification, PCR, cloning
- Strong background in cell signaling and cellular assay development
- Ability to think critically and generate creative solutions to challenging scientificquestions
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Team player and ability to work in a dynamic environment
