The EHS Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring and administering the company’s overall health and safety programs. This role will conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure that all occupational guidelines and regulations are adhered to. In addition, this role will provide training to employees on safety policies and practices.
Primary Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining safety procedures in the workplace, including emergency response plans and fire drills.

Conducting investigations into employee complaints regarding exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.

Developing and implementing new health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulations.

Coordinating environmental and occupational health and safety programs.

Training employees in health and safety policies and best practices.

Conducting inspections and identifying hazards and EHS violations.

Providing solutions and intervention strategies for hygiene, health, and safety hazards.

Monitoring operational processes and employee activities.

Generating assessment documentation, incident and accident reports, and health and safety manuals for compliance with EHS programs and company intiitatives.

Reporting to management, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.

Preparing and submitting health and safety compliance documents to the relevant organizations (OSHA 300)
Requirements:

At least 3 years related experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing environment along with a Bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational safety or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OSHA or similar EHS Certification

Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to flex work hours to support multiple shifts
