Position Overview:
In this position, you will play a dynamic role that involves bouncing between different stations in our kitchen. Your primary responsibilities include creating artisanal gelato, crafting exquisite bread, and ensuring adherence to authentic Italian cuisine standards. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about the opportunity to continue to bring authentic Italian cuisine to the community.
Responsibilities:
- Master the art of artisanal gelato production, from creating base flavors to experimenting with unique and seasonal variations.
- Craft exceptional bread, from mixing and proofing to baking, ensuring that each loaf meets our quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Uphold authentic Italian cuisine standards, following established recipes and techniques to deliver an authentic dining experience.
- Follow guidelines set forth to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Rotate through each station in the kitchen in order to learn each step of the operation.
- Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in culinary roles. A focus on gelato making and bread making is preferred but not required.
- Passion for artisanal gelato and bread craftsmanship, with a desire to maintain and elevate Italian culinary traditions.
- Creativity and a willingness to experiment with flavors and techniques within the boundaries of authentic Italian cuisine.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring strict adherence to health code standards.
- Flexibility to work in various kitchen stations and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, contributing to a harmonious and productive kitchen atmosphere.
- A genuine love for Italian cuisine and a dedication to preserving its authenticity.
