What We Manufacture:
JRUSA manufactures fiber out of cellulose, or wood pulp. Our broad customer base uses this cellulose as a filler, or filter to ensure purity and consistency in their products. We also manufacture fibers for the Pharmaceutical, Pet, and food industries.
Job Responsibilities:
Our Account Manager Position is responsible for increasing J. Rettenmaier USA cellulose and non-cellulose fiber product sales into defined BU Chemistry markets. This position will maintain and grow existing accounts and work with R&D department and other departments and business units to direct market entry of new product concepts, such as gray fibers and microcrystalline cellulose.
- Meet or exceed plan for revenues, volume, and gross margin of Business unit products and other products as instructed.
- Represent JRUSA in BU Industry, BU Technical, BU Road market(s) including, but not limited to Building materials, Seal Coating, SMA, and Oilfield applications.
- Establish relationship with specifiers, DOT’s and road contractors
- With National Sales Manager, participate in creation of new business growth strategy including new customers, products, and applications.
- Handle direct sales to end users and through distribution.
- Maintain records of activities via established call and sales reporting methods.
Job Duties
- Work with Sales Manager to create tactical and strategic sales growth plans.
- Develop relationships with key upper-level decision makers at target accounts.
- Work with Sales Manager to generate Price Quotations and Sample Requests.
- Create sales call reports and appropriate customer data.
- Follow to completion customer inquiries.
- Conduct Market Studies to understand the size and scope of major markets, including key players, location of HQ and plants, potential volumes, applicable products, market segmentation, competitors, substitutes, etc.
- Participate at appropriate trade shows, conferences, and expositions. This could include (but not limited to) organizing, exhibiting, and presenting at such events.
- Travel to customer sites and market events.
- Develop new customer leads through membership in business and technical associations and other means.
- Have detailed understanding of related market products, volumes and pricing.
- Create sales forecasts for production planning and annual budget process.
- Attend sales meetings and other organized company events as required on a periodic basis.
- Coordinate with other Non-Food Account Managers and Sales Manager (domestically and globally) on new product concepts and development.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in science or engineering, desired.
- Proven consistent sales/sales management track record would be a plus.
- Strong sense of customer urgency.
- Able to effectively communicate by telephone, in person, and in writing.
- Competent use of business English in formal communication via email, letter and presentations.Experience with international business partners, specifically German, a plus.
- Adept in use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, and Power Point.
- Experienced with order processing software, preferably SAP.
- Able to perform business math calculations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Other
- Hours 8-5, M-F and other required productive time.
- Must have Valid divers license and Valid passport for international travel. Required to travel 40% to 50%.
- Prefer candidates live East of Mississippi.
