Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping, Receiving and Quality Inspector. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments and quality control. This is a vital role in our manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring that products are received, inspected, stored, and shipped efficiently.
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the contents
- Perform quality inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and tests using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and non-contact measurement systems (Vertex)
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized inspection and warehouse environment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment
- Assist in the assembly of components to support our production team as required
- Material handling, storing and pulling materials for production and shipping as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving and quality inspection operations
- Experience in using micrometers, calipers and non-contact measurement systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices
- Computer literacy in Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure verification/compliance of products or materials to said drawings
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory effectively
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
