Research and Reporting Analyst II
Full Time; Non-Exempt; 37.5 hours/week; Overtime as required.

General Description:
Performs auditing duties of departmental files and processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards and applicable regulations.
Essential Functions and Duties:

Perform mortgage subservicing audits and reviews under the direction of management or external auditors.

Perform comprehensive quality control audits of loan subservicing operations for adherence to investor/insurer guidelines and applicable regulations.

Perform reporting reconciliations.

Prepare, maintain, and provide weekly and monthly Quality reports.

Review and prepare completion of audit files and timelines as assigned.

Train and mentor junior Quality Control Analysts

Create and generate reports and review data to ensure deadlines are met.

Track and report audit finding.
-
Review department information to perform accurate audits.

Maintain, complete, and update assigned audits.
-
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the department policies and procedures to complete accurate audits.

Monitor and Analyze reports and tasks for trends and upcoming target dates.

Identify process improvement opportunities within the department.

Backup to the Quality Control Analyst.

Actively work on preparing audits for internal processes.

Maintain and update audits and quality assurance documentation.

Run daily/weekly/monthly passports to track productivity and accuracy.

Attend meetings with Transfers and Conversions team as needed.

Backup to the Research and Reporting Analyst I and III as needed.

Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent.
-
2+ years Mortgage Servicing or similar experience.

Experience with creating or implementing quality monitoring procedures.

Experience performing root cause analyses.

PC skills: Proficient with Microsoft applications, database analysis, and query software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences, including the ability to explain complex matters in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred/Other Qualifications:

Working knowledge of all aspects of mortgage servicing processes and applicable regulations.

Experience with MSP Servicing Platform.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The employee must be comfortable in either an on-site office setting, or a quiet, designated work from home space that is free from distractions and noise. The employee is regularly required to communicate (give/receive) information through multiple methods of communication with clear understanding from others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position and or move about the organization or remote office. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk (or otherwise move through the organization); sit; use hands to type, write, handle, or feel and reach. May occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; or lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Employees may be required to type and utilize a computer for long periods of time.
The employee may be required to frequently operate a standard variety of office equipment including computers, calculators, copy machine, computer printer and phones. The noise level, if working on-site, is usually moderate and typical of an office environment.
