Job Title: Manager of Fixed Assets
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager of Fixed Assets to join our team. The Manager of Fixed Assets will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fixed asset management, including acquisition, recording, tracking, depreciation, and disposal. This position requires a keen understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage processes and procedures related to fixed assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the acquisition of fixed assets, including approval of purchase orders and coordination of delivery.
- Establish and maintain controls, procedures, and documentation for accurate recording and tracking of fixed assets.
- Manage the depreciation process and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts of fixed assets and reconcile with records.
- Assess potential obsolescence and conduct impairment reviews as needed.
- Provide guidance to management on updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions.
- Develop and maintain reports and analysis related to fixed asset management.
- Monitor fixed asset expenditures against the capital budget and provide recommendations for cost savings.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to optimize procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in fixed asset management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
