OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN PROGRAM DESCRIPTON:
Outpatient Mental Health Program is a community-based program providing therapeutic treatments for behavioral and emotional issues. These issues can stem from family conflict, school challenges, social and peer pressure, and aggressive interactions with others. We collaborate with providers and families to reduce high-risk behaviors, improve coping strategies, and support skill development, positive thinking, and resilience development. Our team takes a strength-based approach to uncover the unique talents of each youth we serve. We help youth develop better strategies for managing stress and increase social functioning.
OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outpatient Mental Health Clinician provides family and individual treatment, depending on the needs of the clients served by the Edgewood's Community and School Based Services. The position is in San Francisco. Applicants must be registered in the State of California with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides mental health services based on the needs of the Outpatient Clinic, including group, family, and individual treatment
- Provides case management oversight of assigned cases including advocacy, collaboration, monitoring of progress and ongoing needs, referrals, and discharge planning with other service providers
- Conducts CANS mental health assessments for referred youth
- Provides collateral treatment with families
- Provides consultation to classroom teachers regarding classroom mental health issues as needed
- Participates in IEP and/or SST for assigned children or other education-mental health team meetings
- Maintains appropriate documentation in compliance with program standards
- Participates in regularly scheduled supervisory team meetings
- Maintains Sensitivity to the cultural diversity of employees, clients, and families
- Driving throughout San Francisco as needed
APPLIED, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field; clinical license required, and registered in the State of California with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
- 1-2 years of experience providing mental health services
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual Clinicians desired (ideally Spanish)

Pay: $86,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
