Site Safety and Health Officer Needed for a Federal project with a 2 year duration.
Duties:
- Implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations including EM385.
- Spend day on job site identifying potential hazards, keeping workforce safe, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Indoctrinate employees on proper safety practices and procedures.
-Write AHA's and run safety meetings.
- Maintain records of safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Utilize government software to track safety-related data and generate reports.
Requirements:
-OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR Training
-10 years of demonstrable SSHO experience or a college graduate with 5 years of construction safety experience.
-Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is a plus.
-Experience implementing the Corps' EM385 procedures is preferred.
