Job Summary:
Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Duties:

Drives truck to destination.

Prepares receipts for loads pickup up.

Maintain trucks log, according to state and federal regulations.

Maintains constant telephone or radio contact with dispatcher to receive instructions. Insure timely disposition of loaded and/or unloaded trailers.

Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.

Uses forklift trucks to load and unload trailers.

Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and glow plugs.

Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
