Our waste minimization and management services allow our customers to cut costs while maintaining a cleaner, more efficient mud system.
Currently - DES has a the need for an EXPERIENCED SALES REPRESENTATIVE - knowledge of Solids Control and an ACTIVE CONTACT LIST is a must to be considered for this position.
The Solids Control Sales Representative is responsible for Sales for the entire product/service portfolio with no structured geographic territory. The Sales Representative is the primary liaison between customers and DES field operations, and corporate accounting teams. The incumbent is a resource to the Operations Manager(s) and Accounting Department.
Essential Functions

- Maintains regular contact with existing and prospective customers to explain services and solicit orders.
- Assists with organizational skills, account strategies, planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Recommends services to customers, based on their needs. Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
- Acts as a resource to for contract opportunities and proposals.
- Assists with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts.
- Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs as needed.
- Coordinates and assists in sales meetings.
- Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining new accounts.
- Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided.
- Answers questions from clients and handles complaints.
- Acquires signatures for billing agreements.
- Maintains company vehicle, when assigned.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

The employee is occasionally required to sit in a vehicle; travel to sites; walk on un-level ground; climb at rig sites; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
This position requires up to 60% travel.
Required Education and Experience
- At least three years of field sales experience. Oil & Gas Industry or related / similar market segment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing; or equivalent education or work-related field sales experience.
- Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) training and certification.
- Rig Pass training and certification (PEC, Safeland, or OSHA).
