Job Description:
The MRI Supervisor works in conjunction with the Director and Medical Staff to improve the patient and workflow via providing support, education and leadership to the technical staff. Supports the mission and vision of our Medical Center. Perform administrative tasks, radiologic procedures and departmental protocols, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day administrative and operational functions of the technical areas of the MRI Department.
- Demonstrates knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment, and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
- Collaborates with other department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives.
- Coordinates the human resource and work activities of assigned staff associates and patient scheduling.
- Maintains and achieves daily productivity and quality assurance standards set by management.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED: 1 year minimum experience as a MRI technologist.
NO LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!
- Active License as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) required by State of practice.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required)
- ARRT - MRI Technology (preferred)
- American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)
- Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)
- IV certification (required)
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
- Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure
- Experience in performing all Radiologic procedures.
- Knowledge of Federal and State Regulatory as well as Imaging Scheduling and Billing.
- Recent Acute Care experience required.
