The Computer Security System Specialist III is in charge of the prevention of the information systems and data being compromised, which are owned by the Marshall Federal Judiciary, in terms of the three elements of the security controls, which are confidentiality, availability, and integrity. The role consists of the obligation to implement, monitor and provide support the agreed security measures that will protect against any unauthorized access, data breaches and cyber threat. The Specialist commonly works together with care team members, management, and other stakeholders for the scope of these tasks that includes risk assessment, development of security policies and procedures, and implementation of suitable technical controls.
Responsibilities:
- Measures SED responsiveness to requests for assistance.
- Measurement of Tickets in JIRA – with sampling.
- Resolution within 3 business days of request for assistance with tool(s)
- Measures the timeliness and quality of addressing document security activities as specified in the system security plan.
- Measurement/Inspection of Tickets in JIRA with sampling.
- Measures the timeliness and quality of SED risk analysis white papers and other formal deliverables for judicial publication.
- Measures the time from receipt of a traffic management request to approve/deny response.
- Measure time to resolve secure coding tool issues.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in IT-related field or at least 4 additional years of IT work experience.
- 15+ years in experience in Cybersecurity area
- 10 to 12 years Certification and Accreditation/ Assessment and Authorization.
- Expert in RMF
- Demonstrated leadership skills/Previous lead position
- Customer service skills
- Project Management skills
- Proficient with RMF process, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253
Requirements:
