cafes. This is a new bakery, and we are looking to fill multiple positions.

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, pastries, and desserts
- Follow recipes and production schedules to meet customer demands
- Ensure all products are baked according to company standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized baking station
-Lead the team of other bakers, coach and train
-Can produce, bake, wrap, and prepare around 1700 bagels a month, as well as other bakery items
-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
-Prepares bakery items from scratch - following exact recipes/measurements
-Has a creative mindset, and feels comfortable coming up with new recipes and ideas for our 16 locations
(Cookie doughs, breads, scones, bagels, cake pops, cookies, bars, muffins and other specialty pastries)
-Responsible for quality assurance of product
-Maintain full knowledge of bakery product line and pricing
-Be the final line for quality control: look for packaging issues, sell-by dates, and be vigilant about quality and presentation for all products put into the case or for special orders
-Keep the ingredient bins/shelfs full
-Clean dishes and equipment used and put away once dry
-Keep all areas of the kitchen/bakery clean and organized, including floor, counters, cases, coolers, preparation and production areas
-Abide by all health, safety, and sanitation standards
-Problem solver & strong communication skills
-Track orders, set timelines and stay on schedule
-Must be creative, artistic and have an eye for detail
-Full understanding of department capabilities and offerings
-Oversee and execute large orders, often with only a few days' notice for clients and all Coffee locations
-Follows opening, closing and other procedural checklists correctly
-Assist in training new staff and seasonal staff, as requested
-Is coachable – actively looking for feedback to grow and improve
-Check GroupMe and emails daily for communication
-Prepare, sheet and bake early mornings until orders are filled.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Baker or relevant role
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters
- Strong understanding of baking techniques and methods
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production
- Culinary or baking certification is advantageous
- Ability to handle food safely and package products appropriately
