The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing, including managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, reconciling statements, validating invoices, tracking credits and overall cost analysis. This position will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and improve quality.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and evaluate vendor performance.
· Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, rebate programs and delivery schedules.
· Conduct regular cost analyses, quarterly price reviews and material spend to identify areas for continued improvement.
· Forecast demand, monitor, and analyze inventory levels to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
· Source special order items for projects, as needed.
· Stay informed about industry trends and changes in legislation affecting material requirements for plumbing and electrical.
· Review invoice pricing to ensure product receipt and pricing from vendors matches agreed upon price point for all materials.
· Review credits for incoming freight, returns and warranty products to ensure accurate receipt.
· Research and resolve supplier disputes including product or pricing issues, invoice and contract discrepancies, and coordinate pricing adjustments.
Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
· Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of purchasing principles; willingness to learn residential construction practices and related plumbing/electrical materials requirements.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems
· Strong Excel skills required
· Must have good interpersonal and teamwork skills, desire to learn, ability to communicate well

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
