Our clinical assistants work directly with patients of all ages in our clinic assisting the doctor.
The position requires working one-on-one with a patient and directly in the mouth. Successful candidates will be comfortable working directly with the doctor, patient and patient’s family. The right candidate will possess the ability to communicate technical orthodontic information in a manner that is understandable by someone without orthodontic knowledge to convey treatment and instructions with patients and parents. Successful candidates also possess the ability to follow a schedule while staying on time, to think ahead and make decisions, for accuracy in performing procedures as well as accuracy of communication and chart notation. Having good dexterity, being stable with your hands and being a fast-learner are all essential parts of being successful in this role.
This is a Full Time Opportunity. New York State Dental Assistant Certification is required. Proof of COVID vaccination is required per NY State mandate for healthcare employees.
Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person who possesses the qualities listed above.
