Purpose of Position:
The Program Director, a pivotal role, oversees the development and implementation of written policies, strategies, and structures that are not just aligned, but integral to the organization's mission and vision for Child and Adolescent Day Treatment services. They directly and indirectly supervise all staff and clients, ensuring the program operates efficiently and effectively.
STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
- Provides supervision or oversight and management of all-day treatment staff and clients related to all aspects of program expectations.
- The Program Director participates in administrative work related to planning, directing, and managing all aspects of the Child and Adolescent Day Treatment program and manage and oversee staff development.
- Directs, oversees and manages all aspects of the Day Treatment Program and on-going program components, reporting to the Clinical Director on related services, progress, issues, updates, and expectations of the Day Treatment program.
- The Program Director, in a Collaborative partnership with the Clinical Director, evaluates the present program's effectiveness to determine the need for program modification and development. This shared responsibility ensures the best outcomes for our clients.
Service Management
· Provide clinical and administrative supervision of all Day Treatment Staff and clients.
· Provide Direct supervision to the site supervisors.
· Provide as-needed supervision to the day treatment case managers.
· Provide Day Treatment Program Development.
· Provide weekly clinical staffing with site managers
· Provide monthly fidelity monitoring of all sites (weekly site visits required) and program
implementation.
· Reach out to local Schools to provide information about the Day Treatment Program.
· Provide Day Treatment oversight to ensure that Case Management's duties of creating
the PCP, updating the PCP, and authorizations are done and submitted on time.
· Ensure the review of all PCPs and authorizations for Day Treatment is completed prior to
submission.
· Provide or arrange clinical and technical assistance for staff, as needed, to include
training.
· Develop staffing schedules based upon the person served needs, interests, and/or
desires and the related strengths of the support staff in keeping staffing ratios required
by the services definition,
· Ensure that services rendered to the people served are billable via management of cases
and notes of staff providing direct services and complete audits (Qing the staff Notes)
· Assemble a team of appropriately trained and qualified support staff to ensure
continuity of care to individuals served.
· Train support staff on the Agency philosophy of service delivery as related to applicable
service definitions, statutes, and rules
· Conduct monthly staff supervision on-site supervisors and ensure that staff supervision
is completed by the site supervisors monthly. according to the Agency Supervision Policy.
· Performance evaluations for support staff and consult with the Clinical Director (as
appropriate) regarding results and recommendations
· Take appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with Agency policies and procedures.
· Ensures that all Day Treatment Staff documentation is being done and submitted on time
with any needed corrections promptly.
· Ensures that all completed documentation is submitted to the Medical Records Specialist
for filing, billing, and payroll purposes within 72 hours.
· Ensure “first responder” coverage and crisis response, as indicated in the Person-
Centered Plan, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year to recipients of
this service.
· Other Duties related to the daily operation of the agency Day Treatment Program.
· Serve as part of the Day Treatment Ratio as needed.
Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Assure consistent provision of quality services to consumers.
- Monitor the implementation of the PCP to ensure that services are being provided in a manner that is professional, effective, and consistent with governing rules, statutes, service definitions, and the PCP.
- Assure that case management, supervision, and service notes are being completed in a manner consistent with Federal, State, and the Agency’s statutes, rules, and policies, and procedures, respectively.
- Provide quality review audits and assign POPs as necessary.
- Provide training to support team for remediation of documentation issues, as needed.
- Conduct routine follow-ups with service recipients, family members, and guardians regarding their satisfaction with service delivery.
- Participate in peer review activities monthly or as requested.
- Communicate ideas on improving services to Clinical Director
Communication
- Maintain consistent communication with Senior Management (as appropriate), regarding documentation, authorizations, team and individual support staff performance, consumer progress toward goals, and consumer satisfaction.
- Maintain regular contact with persons served their treatment teams, guardians, and significant others in persons’ lives as needed
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited program with a master’s degree in human services or related field and two years of progressive mental health counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of North Carolina Full licensure as one of the following: LPA, LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT or equivalent with 2 years supervisory position
or
- Possession of North Carolina Associate licensure as one of the following: LPA, LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT or equivalent with 3-4 years supervisory position
Training
- Must complete any other training, certifications, and/or requirements as determined by the Agency or the State of NC.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable automobile with proof of current liability insurance, acceptable driving record, current vehicle registration and inspection, and a clean State Bureau of Investigations report.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
