Managing subcontractors, safety, quality control, providing exceptional client service, leading a project team, and managing project schedule. The Superintendent, in partnership with the Project Manager, is responsible for the overall success of their assigned project.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in preconstruction activities to review and plan for materials, safety, labor, equipment, and other issues on upcoming job; makes pre-jobsite visits as required.
- Participate in preconstruction job set-up (i.e., submittals, RFI’s, QA-QC protocol’s, etc.)
- Ensure projects start-up effectively.
- Reads and interprets specifications and plans to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
- Create and manage project CPM schedule. Produce look-ahead schedules and communicate directions to necessary staff.
- Examines and inspects work progress and construction site to verify safety and design specifications are met.
- Coordinate the work of the subcontractors to ensure satisfactory job progress and quality.
- Supervises, orders and coordinates activities of labor, subcontractors, and deliveries.
- Records information such as personnel, production and operation data on specified forms and reports
- Analyze worker and production problems and recommends solutions such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans and reviews them with manager.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to all field staff to ensure project goals are met. This role will have significant interaction with owners, designers, government representatives, subcontractors, local inspectors, and other agencies.
- Conduct and participate in safety meetings.
- Provide management of the closeout process.
- Perform the duties above efficiently and effectively and in a workmanlike manner.
- Performs duties not otherwise stated above as directed by manager.
- Reports to work as scheduled (candidate must be willing to work other-than-standard hours as necessary, depending on project requirements).
Physical Demands:
- Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces for moderate periods of time.
- Be able to climb ladders and stairs throughout the day to inspect work at a height of over 6 feet.
- Be able to work more than 40 hours per week when required.
- Vision to read printed materials.
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over a radio or telephone.
- Be able to work outside in all weather
Work Experience, Skills and Other Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS-Excel, MS-Project, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize, exercise sound independent judgment, and communicate with co-workers.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
- Min 5-year experience in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of building systems & civil
- Experience in reconstruction industry preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree in construction science/construction management, or equivalent of work experience

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
