Essential Functions and Responsibilities to ensure the quality and safety of the product will include, but not be limited to:
- Conduct employee training in Quality processes, procedures, standards and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve the quality and efficiency of the product and the process.
- Record and oversee the record keeping of operational and production data on specified forms.
- Enforce safety and quality regulations.
- Review and sign all manufacturing/packaging batch records as well as product release.
- Generate customer Certificate of Analysis.
- Perform in process clearance of materials, operational documentation, processes, samples, etc.
- Manage the batch record document archive system including batch record close out in a timely manner, initiations, and retrieval of archived batch records.
- Responsible for inspection, sampling, supporting releases, releasing raw materials and products, and other activities to support the QA/QC operations departments.
- Adhere to all cGMP’s.
- Read the work orders and production schedules to determine product specifications, materials to be used, weights, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Record quality, operational and production data on specified forms.
- Provide information or indication of problems to Production/Quality Management.
- Confer with management to resolve worker problems, complaints or grievances.
- Perform duties safely and to report unsafe conditions or actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Mathematical Skills – Accuracy with arithmetic and subtraction, decimals, and percentages.
- Language Skills – Must be able to communicate complex concepts in English, verbally and in writing.
- Computer Skills – Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and other business-related software.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skilled in monitoring, analyzing, critical thinking, and active listening.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate others, a strong attention to detail, orientation to quality, problem sensitivity, problem solving, and ability to take initiation.
- Knowledge of food production processing, cGMP’s, regulatory environments, and computer data entry
